Playing aggressive and physical is one thing, but he takes it to a whole new level. His intention is to piss every one off and get them sent off and sadly Gabriel fell for it. Considering the incident really had nothing to do with him he should be smarter and walk away and just ignore Costa like everyone else did. Some of the senior players have to do better to pull him away from those situations, but ultimately the blame falls upon the referee because there was absolutely no reason why he had to send off Gabriel for something he hasn't seen. Basing his decision on Costa's wild reactions is pathetic and weak on his part, and then to not send Costa off as well for his antics is baffling. In the end I think Gabriel does deserve to get banned, but no way should Costa get away with this kind of crap. ... |
